Behind The Price
Where this guidance comes from.
Reviewed completed-job examples
We checked the line items of 11 distinct completed Farrell Plumbing jobs. Six included basic clearing, three included sink jetting, one combined clearing with a camera, and one included mainline restoration. The relevant positive service charges ran from $350 to $2,195 before invoice-level discounts. We rounded the upper end to $2,200 for planning. We excluded zero-quantity clearing lines and separated cameras, new fixtures, and structural pipe work. Some invoices included more than one service. Two standalone sink-jetting invoices totaled $850 and $1,235.25 after discounts; those past discounts are not guaranteed today. This selected sample is not every completed job, an average, or a guarantee of availability at any particular price. Your written proposal confirms the work and total.
Scope: Residential drain clearing, clearing with a camera, sink jetting, and mainline restoration. The $350–$2,200 planning range is rounded outward from $350–$2,195 in reviewed service charges. It excludes new fixtures and structural drain repairs on mixed invoices.

Planning range from reviewed work.
Different work. Different price.
Basic residential clearing
$350–$810
Observed service charges across six jobs: toilet auger, sink, cleanout, vent access, or toilet removal. Separate work on mixed invoices is excluded.
Clearing with a sewer camera
$1,097.50 observed charge
One reviewed vent-access package. A $50 gift-card credit brought that invoice to $1,047.50; future discounts are not assumed.
Sink jetting with camera scope
$900–$1,372.50
Observed charges across three jobs. Two single-service invoices were $850 and $1,235.25 after discounts. Camera access was limited by an existing fitting in one case.
Mainline restoration with hydro jetting
$2,195 observed charge
One reviewed residential cleanout package with mechanical clearing, camera inspection, and jetting. Pipe replacement is separate.
Standalone sewer camera inspection
$310 observed charge
Two additional completed inspection jobs. These are separate from the eleven clearing and jetting jobs.
Structural drain repairs
Written project price
Sagging pipe, damaged fittings, and slope corrections are different work. A mixed invoice can include both repair and clearing.
What changes the price at your property?
- Which drain is blocked and where we can reach it.
- Whether the toilet must be removed or a roof vent used for access.
- Soft blockage clearing versus buildup removal with hydro jetting.
- Camera inspection, additional lines, roots, damaged piping, and repairs beyond clearing.
What the work covers.
- The clearing method and access point named in your written proposal.
- Camera inspection and jetting only when included in the selected scope.
What may be separate.
- New toilets, hose bibbs, valves, and other fixture work shown on mixed invoices.
- Structural drain repair, support or pitch corrections, and pipe replacement.
- Tree-root work, additional access, and commercial projects beyond the agreed residential scope.
Before you approve the work.
Make sure your written proposal explains the diagnosis, the work included, any separate items, and the total price. If something is unclear, ask. We want you to understand your options before you decide.
