Leaks, Slow Drains, and the Dishwasher Connection

02 Is it worth repairing a garbage disposal?
Sometimes. A jam, a tripped reset button, a loose drain connection, or an electrical problem can often be corrected without a new unit. A disposal that leaks from its own body cannot be repaired, and replacement is the honest answer.
03 Can you install a garbage disposal I already bought?
Yes, for a suitable unit and installation. We connect it to your existing drain and electrical supply and confirm the dishwasher connection. Additional plumbing or electrical changes are quoted separately.
04 Do you charge to diagnose a garbage disposal?
The standard diagnostic visit is $85, or $65 when booked online, and it is waived if you accept the repair proposal. After-hours emergency dispatch is $225, with the repair charged separately. We confirm the applicable fee before the visit.
05 Should I have a garbage disposal if my home is on septic?
A disposal adds food solids to the septic tank, which can mean more frequent pumping. Many septic homes use one occasionally without trouble. A septic system that already has problems is better off without one.
