Behind The Price
Where this guidance comes from.
Reviewed completed-job line items
We checked actual charged line items on 13 distinct completed whole-house repipe jobs in Housecall Pro and retained 11 with a separable repipe-and-permit price, scheduled January 28–September 10, 2026. We excluded two mixed bundles whose discounts could not be allocated confidently. For two other bundles, separately priced unrelated work was removed; the remaining jobs used their final repipe invoice amounts, including recorded credits or discounts. The resulting scope amounts were $5,850–$14,750, rounded outward to $5,800–$14,800 for planning. Segments of the same job were counted once. The range is a selected historical sample, not a guaranteed quote or a price per bathroom.
Scope: About $5,800–$14,800 for the whole-house hot and cold supply-line work and permit in 11 reviewed projects. Exact reviewed scope amounts were $5,850–$14,750. Separate heaters, shower valves, faucets, and vent repairs were excluded where their charges could be separated. Finished-surface restoration needs its own written scope.

Whole-house supply repipe and permit
About $5,800–$14,800
11 distinct completed projects with actual line items checked. The number of fixtures, routing and access change the work.
Partial repipe or overhead reroute
Written proposal
A smaller scope is not priced by dividing a whole-house total.
Finished-surface restoration
Quoted separately
Drywall, tile, paint, cabinetry and other access-hole repairs are excluded unless the proposal specifically includes them.
Heaters, shower valves and unrelated repairs
Separate scope
Some reviewed invoices bundled these items with the repipe. We separated their charges or excluded the ambiguous bundle from the planning range.
What changes the price at your property?
- The number of bathrooms and fixtures, the home layout, and the length of pipe runs.
- Attic, wall, exterior, and bathroom access, including finished tile or cabinetry.
- Required valve upgrades, permit scope, and additional plumbing work.
- Repairing access holes and finished surfaces after the plumbing work.
What the work covers.
- New hot and cold supply piping and the plumbing work listed in the written proposal.
- Both the lowest and highest reviewed examples include a $450 permit; confirm the permit scope in your proposal.
- A 10-year repipe workmanship warranty.
What may be separate.
- Drywall, tile, paint, cabinetry, and other access-hole repairs unless explicitly included.
- Finish grading, landscaping, irrigation repairs, and specialist dust cleanup unless listed.
- Drain or sewer replacement; a supply-line repipe is a different project.
Before you approve the work.
Make sure your written proposal explains the diagnosis, the work included, any separate items, and the total price. If something is unclear, ask. We want you to understand your options before you decide.
